EVITAL provides general electric vehicle insurance information and facilitates insurance enquiries. Understanding our role helps you know what happens when you submit an enquiry.
EVITAL's role
EVITAL is not an insurer and does not issue insurance policies. We provide general information and allow you to submit an insurance enquiry. Where appropriate, EVITAL may refer your enquiry to a third-party insurance provider or intermediary that can respond to you.
No recommendation or financial product advice
Information provided by EVITAL is general information only. EVITAL does not recommend that you acquire a particular insurance product and does not provide personal or general financial product advice. Any decision about insurance should be made after considering your circumstances and the relevant product documentation provided by the insurer or intermediary.
Referral fees and commercial relationships
EVITAL may receive a referral fee or other commercial benefit from an insurance provider, intermediary or other supplier when we refer an enquiry. The existence of a commercial relationship does not mean EVITAL recommends that provider or its products. Where further disclosure is required for a particular arrangement, it will be provided before the relevant service is supplied.
Insurance cover
Submitting an enquiry to EVITAL is not an application for insurance, an insurance quote, acceptance of an offer or confirmation of cover. Insurance cover does not commence when you submit an EVITAL enquiry. Eligibility, pricing, terms, exclusions, limits, acceptance and commencement of cover are determined by the relevant insurance provider.
Product documents
If a provider offers you an insurance product, review the applicable Product Disclosure Statement, Target Market Determination and other policy or disclosure documents supplied by that provider before deciding whether to acquire the product.
Your information
When you submit an enquiry, EVITAL may use your information to contact you, manage the enquiry and, where appropriate, share the information needed to respond to your enquiry with a relevant insurance provider or intermediary. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.
